As a support, through this project LINK has equipped its center with 8 additional laptops that will benefit the participants of trainings in the field of IT, in the future. Also, two laptops with outstanding performances helped with design the final model of protective visors that LINK donated to healthcare professionals in our region.

Mitrovica/Mitrovicë North

With funding from UNMIK, NGO LINK is implementing a project to empower youth from the Mitrovica region by providing training in tech and entrepreneurial skills for almost 60 young people (40% women). The project, which includes participants from K-Albanian, K-Serbian and K-Gorani communities, is helping foster inter-ethnic educational and business cooperation by providing new opportunities for youth through establishing the first tech business incubator in northern Kosovo.

The aim of the project is to work through the activities related to urban culture to re-enact the communication of young people on both sides of the Ibar River and to rebuild peace. Through the activities, we supported the initiatives of young people who were tasked to draw attention to the existing problems in the city through the prism of culture and art.

Dual education, as an actual way of systematically changing the way of education, is successfully implemented in cooperation with the high school in Zvečan-Zveçan. The aim is that in addition to the theoretical part, students are given a chance to spend their intended practice time in companies where they can develop practical knowledge that will help them get to work more easily after graduation.

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the partnership between youth CSOs and local authorities through the development of a sustainable communication channel and cooperation strategy. This will increase the capacities of local youth CSOs in the municipality of Zveçan/Zvečan and strengthen the formal link between local self-government and youth through their participation in the decision-making process.
