In the framework of its robust monitoring acitivites, in order to support the Kosovo institutions in their efforts to deal with the large backlog of outstanding war crimes and other serious crimes, EULEX has been presenting systemic findings and targeted recommendations through regular reports, including under the "Justice 2020" initiative led by the Ministry of Justice. EULEX is also conducting a series of training courses targeting the Kosovo Police War Crimes Investigation Unit. These trainings, developed in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police, aim at assisting the War Crimes Investigation Unit in developing a modern case-management system and in improving its capacities in the fields of case building, case administration, and analysis of war-crimes cases.
