UTALAYA Foundation was founded in 2019 by mountaineer and ultra runner Uta Ibrahimi, the first Kosovo and Albanian woman to summit Mount Everest and multiple other so-called “eight-thousanders,” the highest peaks in the world.
The foundation has become known throughout Kosovo for projects focused on creating outdoor, recreational and awareness-raising activities for children and young people, including those from disadvantaged communities.
Utalaya foundation has been working with international organizations like UNICEF, UNDP, UN Woman, UNOPS, WWF, and also local institutions like Ministry of Sports and Culture, Prishtina Municipality, etc.
