The DEED progrmme is an innovative initiative for enabling the Kosovo diaspora to take an active and effective role as development agents in their communities of origin. The overall objective of the programme is to enhance the contribution of diaspora to poverty reduction in the short-term and sustainable, gender equitable local economic development in the long-run, through facilitating and encouraging investment and saving behaviour among migrants and remittance-receiving households.
