“Arts are the most powerful place where people can really make peace on the ground.” Our Mitrovica Rock School is collaborating across borders under the Music Connects project. Together with Roma Rock School and Music School Enterprise - Музичко училиште Ентерпрајз, the project delivers thousands of lessons, band sessions and concerts to Serb, Albanian, Macedonian, Roma and other youth. Talented youth form bands or work as sound engineers, building bonds in a region still divided along the lines left by the wars of the 1990s. Hatched-MV (http://hatched-mv.art) is producing a feature documentary on Music Connects, to be released this year.
