Did you know that only 17% of Wikipedia biographies describe a woman’s profile and all of this happens due to the internet invisibility of their work? This of course makes it difficult to create biographies of women, no matter how valuable their work is.

In the group of women with special interest of the internet society, of course, we must be committed to promoting the participation of women in the Internet ecosystem. It is also important to increase the content created by and / or for women online to give voice and make visible the actions, work and participation of women in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

April 26 in many countries of the world marks International Girl's Day in ICT with various activities in accordance with information technology and we, at IPKO Foundation are very happy to be one of the organizers in marking this event in Kosovo.

Girls in ICT is organized by IPKO Foundation in cooperation with AUK - Training and Development Institute for the sixth (6) year in a row, directly contributing to the education of young girls in the field of technology, information and communication, through inspiring speakers, interactive workshops and career fair.

This year we are marking International ICT Girls' Day a little differently. Due to the global pandemic caused by Covid -19, we have decided to mark this conference online, through Facebook LIVE, which will be open to all, on April 23 (Thursday) with guests Drenushë Imeraj.
