Towards a more Equal Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Kosovo

This policy brief will attempt to give a brief and general overview of the main challenges facing the Kosovo Serb community during this emergency and will outline a series of recommendations geared at remedying the situation. It should be noted here that the goal of this document is not to call into question the scientific and epidemiological necessity for the steps undertaken by the state but rather to highlight the unique nature of this crisis and to stress that the need for equal treatment of all communities in Kosovo is greater than ever.

This project is supported by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and is implemented by the New Social Initiative. Expressed opinions represent the authors’ views and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United Nations, UNMIK or New Social Initiative.
