Kosovo is becoming the National Center of Judo. This will be made possible by the memorandum of cooperation signed today by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Vlora Dumoshi and the President of the Judo Federation of Kosovo, Agron Kuka.

The purpose of the memorandum is to co-finance the implementation of the project "Construction of the National Judo Center in Peja", which will be implemented during this and next year, with a total amount of 460 thousand euros, of which the MCYS shares over 300 thousand euros, while FXHK will allocate 160 thousand euros for this project.

On this occasion, the Minister in the meeting he had with President Kuka and the selector of Kosovo in judo, Driton Kuka, said that he feels extremely happy that the coming to life of such an important project for the judokas of Kosovo is being enabled.

"With the signing of this memorandum, today we have started concretely the implementation of a large and important project not only for judokas and sports but also for our country in general, because in addition to the practical role that the National Judo Center will have in Peja/Peć, it will also be an image in the international arena for Kosovo because the sport of judo has greatly influenced the affirmation of our country. This center will be a hotbed for athletes who will come in the future and will be a destination for foreign visitors who are interested in the success and history of judo in our country ", said among others Minister Dumoshi.
