The daunting situation the Roma women face, confronted with the COVID-19 outbreak, exacerbates an already critical condition of inequality.
We are working with partners to deliver a more accurate picture of the gender dimension to the response so that it can be more effective for women and girls , at the same time ensuring that with the support of our donors we provide also immediate support .
As part of our project “ Gender-Responsive Approaches and Efforts to Combat the COVID-19 Outbreak in Kosovo” funded by Embassy of Canada to Croatia and Kosovo, today in Pristina Municipality, Head of UN Women Kosovo Vlora Tuzi Nushi together with UN Kosovo Team Development Coordinator Ulrika Richardson, supported the delivery of food and hygiene packages to women and girls, and their families from the Roma, Ashkali, Egyptian communities.
