This year, UN Women and partners marked the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (25 November – 10 December) under the theme of ‘Orange the World: Raise Money to End Violence against Women and Girls’.
A numberof public events galvanized attention and action to end the pandemic of violence against women. From the Assmebly Building, to the Mother Theresa cathedral and Grand Mosque, iconic buildings illuminated in orange light, to symbolize our hope for a brighter future.
We teamed up with the Kosovo Philharmonic for this video, sending the message that although 16 Days of Activism campaign ended - but the fight to ensure the equality & protection of women & girls everywhere continues every day.
