Five (5) new houses were constructed and handed over to the pleased families under the auspices of the housing construction component which is being successfully completed by IOM’s EU Return and Reintegration in Kosovo phase V (EU-RRK V) Programme and its stakeholders.

In addition to building the houses, the Programme also made possible the connection of houses to public services, including sewage and water supply systems, as well as the electricity network.

Furthermore, during this week (21 - 23 December 2020), the EU-RRK V Programme has scheduled the delivery of Harmonized Returns Packages to nine (9) beneficiary families with a total of 30 family members in the municipalities of Istog/Istok, Peja/Peć and Graçanicë/Gračanica.

This assistance includes the delivery of food and non-food items, hygienic packages, furniture and house appliances to beneficiaries, helping enhance their reintegration prospects. It is part of the socio-economic assistance component that the Programme also offers.

Funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo, co-financed by the Ministry of Communities and Returns (MCR) and implemented by International Organization for Migration (IOM), the EU-RRK V Programme is implemented in 11 municipalities of Kosovo.
