Supporting Efforts to Establish a Regional Shelter for Survivors of Domestic Violence in North Kosovo

With the aim of strengthening institutional responses to gender-based and domestic violence, UNMIK has supported municipal authorities in northern Kosovo to refurbish the first-ever regional shelter for survivors of GBV in the region. Coordinated by Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica municipalities, the shelter is envisaged to provide immediate and around-the-clock access to safe accommodation, as well as a range of rehabilitation and economic empowerment services to the survivors.
