Advancing Kosovo Together – Local Solution (AKT – LS)

Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT LS) a three-year, USAID funded project that aimed to increase constructive inter-ethnic cooperation and interaction, primarily between the majority and minority communities, which is vital to the security and stability of the Balkans implemented by Community Development Fund (CDF).  The project goal is to foster positive and constructive inter-ethnic cooperation between the Kosovo minority community and majority communities in addressing common problems of unemployment, social needs, and municipal services in 16 targeted municipalities throughout Kosovo (Gračanica/Graçanicë, Klokot/Kllokot, Novo Brdo/Novobërdë, Parteš/ Partesh, Ranilug/Ranillug, Štrpce/Shtërpcë, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Istog/Istok, Klinë/Klina, Obiliq/ Obiliċ, Pejë/Peċ, Vushtrri/Vučitrn, North Mitrovice/ë, Zubin Potok, Leposaviċ/Leposaviq and Zvečan/Zveçan) comprised of large Kosovo Serb populations. Advancing Kosovo Together – Local Solution (AKT-LS), had a project budget of $7,356,705.00 of this, a net investment of $5,447,072 implemented on a form of a direct project interventions through three different grant and subcontract components: 1) Citizen Engagement Component; 2) Business Development Component; and 3) Municipal Development Component.
