Community-wide Advocacy for Increasing Women Access to Employment

A group of female MA members from South Mitrovica together with counterparts from Pristina, Gjilan/Gnjilan and Ferizaj/Urosevac MAs attended a one-day workshop on “Community-wide Advocacy for Increasing Women Access to Employment” in Pristina. The workshop aimed at identifying specific socio-political barriers faced by Kosovo women related to access to employment opportunities. A draft community-based advocacy and action plan to address different types of discrimination faced by women in the labor market is one of the instant outcomes. Democracy for Development Institute (D4D), one of the organizers, will provide mentoring and coaching sessions throughout the year to implement the action plan. The Norwegian Embassy in Pristina sponsored the event.
