It's the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The "Tech Heroes" initiative is marking this day with an event that aims to promote the ICT sector and the mindset of "YES I CAN" among our girls and women. This event is organized by Akademia jCoders from Prishtinë/Priština in cooperation with Innovation Center Gracanica.
In order to make ICT sector more attractive to women/girls and to promote equality among genders in the ICT field, around 30 young girls from 14 to 24 years old from Graçanicë/Gračanica and Prizren participated in one day activity, filled with creative workshops and inspirational peer speeches about technology. The event was a part of the Tech Heroes initiative that aims to use technology as a common denominator to bring all ethnicities of Kosovo together for a greater common goal, to design and create solutions for the benefit of the society.
