The Platform for Reconciliation in Kosovo is a continuation of the Forum's discussions on the actions needed to build a more peaceful and inclusive society, as well as to promote the initiative at the local level and in civil society. It is also a continuation of the efforts of international organizations to promote confidence building in Kosovo.

The goal is to help institutions harness the power of communities and make evidence-based decisions to meet major societal challenges.

Marko Rakic, Executive Director of the NGO Local Initiative LINK expressed his satisfaction that he was among a group of selected people whose work and impetus for additional efforts in the reconciliation process were recognized. He is a lawyer by education and, by profession, a civil society activist who is most characterized by being a lover of technology and innovative technological solutions. Marko believes that young people recognize honesty, regardless of nationality, religion or any other choice.

"Honesty is one important factor in building reconciliation, and besides people hearing you being honest, I think it's very important that they feel it and show it through their work. I do not see a challenge in working with and working with people from different communities, I certainly see something called potential here. ”

Mirlinda Rušiti, QA tester at a US company in North Mitrovica adds:

"We want to build a trust-based future, just like Kosovo Trust Bilding, and this can be achieved above all by the younger generations, removing prejudices, working with one another and serving as a role model to be respected."

This platform was launched by the New Social Initiative (NSI) and supported by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).
