As isolation and quarantine are imposed as measures to contain the spread of #COVID19, households are placed under strain and the risk of domestic violence increases.
We are committed to ensure that the needs and priorities of domestic violence survivors are met during the pandemic. As a joint UN Kosovo Team effort, shelters in Kosovo have received food, hygienic kits and other goods to meet their needs.
In light of this, Safe House Gjakova stated "In the name of women and children in the shelter we remain thanful to Unicef Kosovo Programme and UN Women, for the much needed response in these difficult times."
