The Mitrovica Innovation Centre of the non-governmental organization "LINK" was active during the previous two months, producing more than 400 protective visors, which they donated to the staff of health institutions north and south of the Ibar.

The visors were distributed to medical staff in northern and southern Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok, Leposavic, Gjilan, Vushtrri, Suva Reka, Kamenica and Donja Gusterica.

"I know that we did something important for our health workers, and for me it was important that we did not share the environment, but we managed to really help in so many places. For me personally, the most important but also the most beautiful moments were when they would call us from municipalities, hospitals, or individuals, asking us to make visors for them, because they had already heard that we had launched our own initiative to help doctors, nurses and other medical staff. ", The director of the Mitrovica Innovation Center, Marko Rakić, conveys his impressions for KoSSev.

He thus recalled a call from the internal department of the Mitrovica hospital, a request from Donja Gušterica, to which they managed to send about 70 visors, or help to Suva Reka, from where the mayor called them and asked for help.

It takes from an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes to make one visor. It was a bigger job for the innovation center, both in terms of the time and patience needed, but also in terms of providing materials. The latter was assisted by UNMIK by providing the necessary materials and equipment.

Rakic adds that the organization that gathers young people in the city on the Ibar is ready for the second wave, if it happens, as well as for new socially useful initiatives. Until then, he thanked everyone who supported them, but also recognized the importance of this type of protective equipment.
