Women for Equality and Peace in Northern Kosovo

With an aim to enhance inclusive gender responsive governance, UNMIK supported the establishment of the Multi-ethnic Women Advocacy Group (MWAG). Besides working actively with municipal staff and political parties, NGO Women's Right also seeked to engage the public to foster participation, accountability and transparency. MWAG concentrates not only on achiving better representation of women in public and instiutional life, but also seeks to strenghten the role of women in reconciliation processes.
