Scaling up “Young Men Initiative” project

The project involves the youth aged between 14 and 19 from Albanian, Serbian, and RAE communities in 5 municipalities to create culture-based human rights, gender equality, and non-violent behaviours. Activities include workshops on violence, conflict, and healthy lifestyles; capacity development to local NGO partners (working on gender, violence prevention, health) and local authorities; a national camp on leadership, communication, conflict resolution, tolerance, and critical thinking; and, create a "Be a Man Club" in schools (25 participants (10 - 12 grade) per school. Funds mainly for events and workshop activities, travel and accommodation costs and supplies. This is part of the project "Men and Boys as Partners in Promoting Gender Equality & Preventing Violence & Extremism among Youth in the Balkans" implemented by CARE Int. Balkans in partnership with SIT and YMCA in Kos. -supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) & Oak Foundation.
